Mental Health.. we must care!!

I believe every one of us cares about our physical well-being. But do we care about the other and most important aspect of our well-being i.e ‘MENTAL-HEALTH’? I know the debate around mental-health was started in our country after the unfortunate suicide of a popular actor. But, is this country prepared to accept the idea of depression and its causes. In this blog, I will like to tell my readers in and out about the aspects of mental health and the ways to avoid negativity to shatter the vicious cycle of depression.

 

Mental health involves emotional, psychological, and social health. It influences how we think, sense, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices. Mental health is essential at every stage of development, from infancy and adolescence through adulthood. To reduce the chances of bad mental health one needs to know about the symptoms of it. Some of its common symptoms are:

 

Eating or sleeping too much or too little, Pulling away from people and usual pursuits, Having low or no energy, Feeling numb or like nothing matters, Shouting or fighting with family and friends, Feeling weak or hopeless, Inability to perform daily tasks like taking care of your kids or getting to work or school, etc.

 

If you feel any one of the symptoms mentioned above, you shouldn’t stress more. You need to follow some suggestions of mine and try to maintain a positive state of mind to maintain good mental health. You must realize your full potential, try to cope with the pressures of life, Work productively

, Make meaningful donations to your community. If you feel it’s getting serious you must opt for professional help. Try to connect with others,

Stay positive, Become physically active, and get enough sleep.
